Classic Fire + Life Safety is excited to announce that I.F. Wilson (IFW), a Canadian owned and operated company since 1977, will officially make the switch to the Classic Fire + Life Safety banner this November 2023.
IFW joined the Classic Fire + Life Safety family in July 2021, but has been operating independently since. As the months have passed, both parties have taken the time to learn about each other, and all parties have agreed that now is the time to start the integration of IF Wilson into Classic Fire + Life Safety.
“I am full of optimism and excitement as we turn the next chapter and continue to build on what I.F. Wilson started with our new Classic FLS colleagues” says Lou Fior – president of IFW.
Under the leadership of Lou Fior and Elaine Wilson, IFW has earned the reputation as a reputable business that prides itself in offering exceptional fire protection services to loyal customers in the Brampton, Toronto, and surrounding areas.
All IFW Technicians, Fitters, and office staff will continue to execute their existing roles and functions as part of the change. Fior will be taking on a new role as Director of Special Projects and Executive Account Manager within Classic’s construction division. Elaine Wilson will be entering a well-deserved retirement after more than 40 years in the sprinkler industry,

IFW joins a growing team of fire protection professionals under the Classic Fire + Life Safety umbrella. In December 2022, Fire Inspection Services in Burlington joined the team, and this past April, Legacy Fire Protection and Photon Electrical in Calgary, and Integrated Fire Protection in Kelowna also joined the growing group of companies.
