As an organization, we strongly believe that we have the opportunity and responsibility to give back to the communities we live in and provide partnership and support to people in need. To do this, we have established an employee-led and managed team that oversees a portion of corporate donations as well as connects our staff with engagement opportunities for each of our Group of Companies. This team is called the Social Impact Committee.
Their goal is to inspire hope, encourage growth, and catalyze change by supporting local and global charities.
“Helping persons in need is always in our hearts and on our minds,” says Jacqui MacDonald, Chair of the Social Impact Committee at Classic Fire + Life Safety. “Our colleagues appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the company’s community giving initiatives and really do have a passion for keeping people safe. That’s what we do for a living, day in and day out, but it extends too to how we manage our time and donations. We’re very grateful that the company encourages everyone to get involved.”
There are so many people in our communities and around the world who need help. Through the commitment of our Board of Directors to help make a difference, the Social Impact Committee was honoured to be given a generous budget increase which enabled us to increase our support to many wonderful organizations and causes.
